THE BEAUTIFUL CITY OF THE ANGELS

The foundation date is April 16, 1531. The legend related that Fray Julian Garces, first bishop of the New Spain had a dream that says, did not let him not even in the naptime. Fray Julián Garces dreamed he was walking and walking, looking diligently the place to found the city to unleash his project. And after a long trek saw at the end of the road a beautiful emerald valley crossing by the crystalline rives. In his dream he can saw how the beautiful place was illuminated with the light of heaven and culminating looked down the angels who endorsing their flight began to draw the city, as a result it is also known as the Angelopolis.


Puebla has an extensive and delicious cuisine that satisfies even the most demanding palates with its “chiles en nogada” or its tradicional “mole poblano” pride of the citizens, not forgetting the classic “chalupas” are enjoyed with the light of the moon accompanied by a yummy “esquite” in the old streets of Puebla, and if you are looking desserts, Puebla has a whole tradition that begins with “camotes” (sweet potatoes), borrachitos, Santa clara tortitas (cookies), mueganos, candies of sugar, to name a few in this extensive list of flavors, scents and colors that fill the poblana cuisine to the taste of their guests.


Among the most important events take place the battle of May 5, 1862 where Mexican troops defeat French troops awarding the nominations of “Heroica Puebla” and considered as Heritage of the Humanity in 1987 by UNESCO. Becoming the most important second City of New Spain and today one of the most beautiful and enigmatic of the Mexican Republic.
